Action for the River Kennet (ARK) is a partnership of people who care deeply about this glorious chalk stream and its long-term future. As well as campaigning for the protection of the river and its fragile ecology, ARK manages habitat improvement projects, and organises a host of activities designed to help everyone - local residents, young people and visitors alike - to better understand and enjoy this irreplaceable haven of quiet natural beauty.

In this calendar you may discover what makes the River Kennet special; it is indeed one of England’s finest chalk steams, but there’s much more. Here you will see some Kennet landscapes that are truly amazing; some of England’s most beautiful river scenes, all of them in Wiltshire, yet mostly unseen as many are on private estates. These photographs have been made possible thanks to the kindness of many land owners and river keepers to whom we are indebted. The photographic locations extend from Swallowhead Spring to Chilton Foliat, taking in some glorious landscapes of the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The River Kennet, with its crystal clear waters, is beautiful but fragile - it needs our continued support and protection. Profits will be donated to ARK and your purchase of this calendar will help enormously. Thank you.
